Should California Nullify Obamacare?

Our founders spent a lot of time on this question: What happens when the federal government oversteps it’s Constitutional authority? The answer was nullification.
If the federal government passes a law that is unconstitutional the state legislature simply writes a resolution, passes it in both houses, then upon signature by the governor notifies the federal government that the law does not exist in the state. No Supreme Court case, no lawyers, the state simply says no. This is well within the state’s duties and rights.
Here is the beautiful part: THE STATES GET TO BE THE FINAL JUDGE ON FEDERAL LAW, NOT THE SUPREME COURT.
States are facing budget deficits already, and as the Federal Government expands Medicaid eligibility states will face billions in unfunded mandates. This ought to be enough provocation for many more states to pursue nullification of any healthcare bill. Here are two articles by Dick Morris that spell out the costs of the unfunded mandates to each state. OBAMACARE = BIG STATE TAX HIKES, and HARDEST HIT BY OBAMACARE
A familiar example of states nullifying federal law is with medical marijuana. Also so many states have nullified the Real ID act that the federal government is looking to repeal and replace the controversial law.
Many states are preparing to nullify the healthcare bill at the state level either through their legislatures or via the ballot process in 2010. Their bills or propositions are short, easy to read, maybe 1-3 pages. The text of those bills might serve as a model for your state to consider.

Wondering what everyone thinks about getting this crap legislation tied up in the supreme court in constitutional challenges? Likely, unlikely? What do you think?

I think it will happen, and I hope it will happen. The attorneys general in many states are already talking about this. Esp w many states getting special treatment, the equal protection angle is being considered.

California should absolutely nullify obamacare. We need to stop allowing government to get away with unconstitutional acts. People need to remember we were given a republic as opposed to a democracy precisely to protect our individual freedoms. As long as we allow this rogue government to do as it pleases we will continue to lose our rights. Both sides of the aisle have been corrupted. This needs to stop now, vote out those who subvert the constitution whichever side of the aisle they belong to.
